About ThunderSTORM

ThunderSTORM is an open-source, interactive, and modular plug-in for ImageJ designed for automated processing, analysis, and visualization of data acquired by single molecule localization microscopy methods such as PALM and STORM. ThunderSTORM offers an extensive collection of processing and post-processing methods so that users can easily adapt the process of analysis to their data. ThunderSTORM also offers a set of tools for creation of simulated data and for quantitative performance evaluation of localization algorithms using Monte-Carlo simulations. This is a modified version implementing Phasor based localization and adding support for Java 21.

Report a bug

Prior to submitting a bug report, please upgrade to the latest version of ThunderSTORM and see if the error still occurs.

If you receive an exception that ImageJ ran out of memory, try to increase the memory limit or to load the SMLM data as a virtual stack.

In the case of a malfunction, please let us know by using the Issue tracking system. Specify the malfunction, and describe the procedure to reproduce the error. If an exception occurs, copy the stacktrace into the description box and specify your platform, i.e., your version of Java, ImageJ, ThunderSTORM, and operating system.
